Indent have announced the successful recipients for the 2010 Partnership Grants. With teams spread all over the state from Broken Hill to Bega to Belmont, gigs range from open mic, band nights and festivals. This year will mark the tenth year of funding, resources, advice and support of all ages drug and alcohol free entertainment in NSW, with 43 grants worth $2,500 each helping almost 600 bands showcase to an estimated audience of 40,000 young people.

NSW Arts Minister Virginia Judge, in announcing the grants on Monday, said "All-ages events provide vital opportunities for young people to be inspired by music,” Ms Judge said.

Sound Summit is searcing for a creative, energetic and highly organised individual to work with current Festival co-director Andrew Tuttle on the 2010 festival. If you like the sound of being able to organise the festival of innovative and indepedent music check out soundsummit.com.au for more.

On Monday the first of February MusicNSW will be at the fbi open day to answer your questions from 3 - 6pm at 44-54 Botany Road, Alexandria just up from Redfern station. Come in to drop off your demo and get a tour of fbi radio and then sit down for some indust-wary chats. Not an artist? This is the best chance to be able to sit down and talk the ins and outs of music in NSW with the team so still come down with questions in tow.

In the coming weeks MusicNSW will be hosting a startegic development day to map out the future of the organisation. We want your feedback. What are we doing? What aren't we doing? What should we be doing? Express your issues with the contemporary music industry and your ideas for opportunity. Just email your thoughts to info@musicnsw.com by February 12.
